Mission: EnviroFlight® develops high quality, sustainable ingredients for animals and plants in a socially responsible way. Our systems upcycle regionally available by-products from human and animal food industries to produce high quality ingredients while minimizing the environmental and financial impacts of animal protein production. By doing so, EnviroFlight® contributes to the health of our planet and the people of our world.
Our feedstock ingredients are defined by The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) ensuring a premium product, and our feed and fertilizer products are registered with the appropriate State Departments of Agriculture and the FDA.
By implementing best practices for our feed ingredients, animal care, and processing, we are able to manufacture balanced, high-performance products.
Leveraging years of applied research and development in our Ohio pilot plant, our animal-rearing and manufacturing systems and practices have been designed for mass production. EnviroFlight opened the first U.S. commercial-scale production facility in 2019, which employs a commercial BSFL platform and provides a sustainable source of sought-after high-quality nutrients for the pet food, poultry, aquaculture, livestock, young animal and exotic feed industries.
Quality, Capacity and Consistency. From quality ingredients in our feedstock to consistent and safe processing, EnviroFlight® holds our entire operation to strict standards. Our Yellow Springs, Ohio pilot plant and our Maysville, Kentucky commercial facility are routinely inspected and approved by the respective Ohio and Kentucky Departments of Agriculture, and are fully compliant with the standards established by the US Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).
Feed Stock Quality
All our feedstock ingredients meet AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) guidelines – the same ones required for all livestock raised in the U.S. We use pre-consumer product streams, and our feedstock ensures a high-quality black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) feed produced in the largest commercial-scale BSFL production facility in the United States.
